Police say no charges filed in Boston taxi crash
The Latest on a taxi crash that injured several pedestrians in Boston (all times local):
8:15 p.m.
Police say a taxi driver who jumped a curb near Boston’s Logan International Airport and struck a group of cab drivers has not been charged in the crash.
The taxi driver’s vehicle struck the people in a taxi queuing area Monday. Ten people were injured. Police say all the injured appeared to be cab drivers.
Authorities say the driver is from Cambridge and remained at the scene. State police say the driver was interviewed by state troopers and was allowed to leave after the interview. They say there’s no information to suggest the crash was intentional.
The investigation is ongoing.

Massachusetts State Police say a taxi driver jumped the curb and struck a group of cab drivers sitting at a break area, injuring 10 people near Boston’s airport.
The 56-year-old taxi driver’s vehicle struck the pedestrians in a taxi-queuing area Monday near Logan International Airport in East Boston.
A police official said the crash is believed to be a case of “operator error” in which the driver stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. The person was not authorized to comment on the record and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
State police Maj. Frank McGinn says one person was seriously injured. Three people had less serious but “significant” injuries.
State police spokesman David Procopio says there’s no information to suggest the crash was intentional.

Massachusetts State Police say a 56-year-old taxi driver who struck a group of pedestrians near Boston’s airport remained at the scene and is being interviewed by police.
Spokesman David Procopio says at least several people were injured, some seriously, Monday afternoon near Logan International Airport in East Boston.
Video of the scene showed a white cab with front end damage at rest against a building and near some picnic tables. The vehicle is surrounded by debris. Rescue crews loaded at least one person into a stretcher.
The crash happened in a taxi-waiting area. Procopio say the cause is under investigation.
