‘The Voice’ Recap: The Coaches Make Tough Cuts As Knockout Rounds Continue

The Knockouts continue on the Nov. 6 episode of ‘The Voice,’ and you can follow along with everything that went down in our recap right here!

The first artists to take the stage in the second episode of Knockouts are Brooke Simpson and Stephan Marcellus from Miley Cyrus‘ team. The singers are mentored by Miley and key adviser Kelly Clarkson. Brooke performs “Natural Woman,” while Stephan sings “Impossible.” Both renditions are incredibly powerful, leaving coach Miley with a very difficult decision, as she can only keep one on her team. In the end, she decides to pick Brooke, who will now head into the Playoffs.

Blake Shelton’s first pairing is Anna Catherine and Mitchell Lee, who are singing “Breathe” and “I’ll Be.” Both artists completely up their games for these performances, and it’s certainly not easy for Blake to pick just one to keep around. After a lot of contemplation, though, he goes with Mitchell. Up next is Jeremiah Miller and Noah Mac from team Jennifer Hudson. She pairs them together because they’re both contemporary artists, and they both give it their all with performances of “Sorry” and “Take Back The River.” Jennifer chooses Noah, who she stole from Blake in the Battles, to keep on her team.

Katrina Feigh and Keisha Renee from Team Blake are up next. Kathrina performs a stunning rendition of “Girl On Fire,” while Keisha belts out “I Hope You Dance.” It’s another difficult decision, and Blake ultimately goes with Keisha. During the episode, Adam Levine also chooses Jon Mero over Dylan Gerard to continue building his team.

The next artists to take the stage are Moriah Formica a Whitney Fenimore from Miley’s team. Interestingly, Moriah is performing one of a key adviser, Kelly Clarkson’s, own hits, “Behind These Hazel Eyes,” putting her own epic rock twist on it. Meanwhile, Whitney slays her rendition “Calling All Angels,” but of course, Miley can only keep one woman on her team, and she goes with Moriah.

The final Knockout of the night is between Team Adam’s Adam Pearce and Emily Luther. Adam sings “Smoke on the Water,” to really show off his true rock ‘n roll side, while Emily performs “Glitter In The Air.” Both performances are absolutely incredible, and Adam is devastated to let Adam go when he picks Emily. Luckily, it’s not the end of the road for the rocker, as Miley pushes her button for the Steal and adds Adam to her team! That also means Miley’s team is complete for the Playoffs!
