Air Berlin and JetBlue to do interline ticketing

Air Berlin and JetBlue to do interline ticketing:- Air Berlin will begin interlining with JetBlue on Sept. 12.

The agreement enables travelers to book Air Berlin flights from Dusseldorf and Berlin to 31 JetBlue destinations beyond New York, Boston and Orlando.

Air Berlin said the carriers will work to expand the agreement in the coming months.

The agreement is most prominent at Kennedy, where flyers will be able to connect to 20 JetBlue destinations from Air Berlin’s twice-daily flights from Dusseldorf and daily flights from Berlin.

Air Berlin flies Boston-Dusseldorf four times per week and Orlando-Dusseldorf five times per week. Boston flyers can connect to 14 JetBlue destinations. Orlando flyers can connect to five.

The cooperation agreement does not yet include mileage programs, Air Berlin said, but it will in the future.

In addition to New York, Boston and Orlando, Air Berlin’s U.S. destinations are Miami, Chicago O’Hare, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Fort Myers, Fla.
