Vikings RB Dalvin Cook out for season with torn ACL:-The Minneosta Vikings are starting from scratch at running back yet again.

Dalvin Cook suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions, coach Mike Zimmer confirmed on Monday.

A second-round pick out of Florida State, the rookie entered the week trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt in rushing. He revitalized a rushing attack that ranked last in the NFL in 2016 after Adrian Peterson missed most of the season with a torn meniscus.

Cook had 354 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 74 carries (4.8 yards per carry on the season.

“I expect him to come back and be the same that he was,” Zimmer said of Cook.

Zimmer said the team was “looking at everything” on possible outside help at running back, but Latavius Murray could take over a bulk of the carries.
