2 teens, 2 men wounded in Austin drive-by shooting:- A man was killed in one shooting, and two teen boys and two men in their 20s were wounded in a West Side drive-by shooting as they walked in the Austin neighborhood Tuesday morning, according to Chicago police.
In Back of the Yards, a 41-year-old man was shot and killed about 5 p.m., according to police.
Officials were called to the 5200 block of South Bishop Street to investigate, they said. The gunman is described as being 25 to 30 years old, wearing a white shirt and red pants.
No arrests had been made.
The quadruple shooting happened around 11 a.m., near Central Avenue and Corcoran Place, next to a CTA Green Line station, police said.
A 14-year-old boy was struck in the right arm and chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital. A 16-year-old boy was hit in the lower back and also taken to Stroger. A 21-year-old man was shot in the left ankle and take to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, and a 22-year-old was struck in the right leg and went to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park.
The conditions of all four were stabilized, police said.
Police closed Central to northbound traffic except for CTA buses and allowed southbound traffic to pass through.
Some people coming and going from the Green Line station stopped to take pictures with their phones.
