After finally wrapping up his Purpose tour, Beijing officials released an announcement making it clear that it would be preferable if Justin never preformed on any of the country’s stages until he grows up.
Apparently a fan of JB contacted the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture to ask why Bieber had no shows scheduled like this previous tours.
They quickly responded with, “Justin Bieber is a gifted singer, but he is also a controversial young foreign singer,” The bureau continued in their online statement. “In order to maintain order in the Chinese market and purify the Chinese performance environment, it is not suitable to bring in badly behaved entertainers,” They added, “We hope that as Justin Bieber matures, he can continue to improve his own words and actions, and truly become a singer beloved by the public.”
While the statement didn’t reference what behavior they were talking about, we can think of a couple that stand out.
His multiple incidents in different countries include, getting caught for getting around the Wall of China on the shoulders of his bodyguards, peeing in a mop bucket in the back of a restaurant in London, Instagraming a photo of Toyko’s Yasukuni Shrine, being arrested in Miami for drag racing, and egging his neighbors house in Calabasas which caused $81K worth of damage,
But don’t worry too much of it JB, You aren’t the only celebrity to be banned. Big names such as Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Jay-Z. Obviously it isn’t too hard to be banned from china, just be vulgar, too sexual, support someone who’s clashing with the government or racist on television and you’re set to be black listed!
According to Bieber’s website, he still has upcoming shows in Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Tokyo, but Beijing is a no go.
