Bow Wow went and pissed off the internet on Oct. 16, with just one, simple tweet. The rapper implied that he was part of Death Row, along with Dr. Dre and 2Pac, with a snap of his face seemingly photoshopped next to the iconic figures.
The internet is making fun of Bow Wow… again. The rapper, 30, made himself the center of internet amusement on Oct. 16, after he tweeted a photo where his face appeared to be photoshopped into a legendary snap of the major Death Row Records figures. Some of the iconic artists in the photo include Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight, 2Pac. He captioned the photo, “Where it all started…,” which ticked off fans because they thought Bow was crediting himself as a member of Death Row. Bow Wow also tweeted a photo of him with Snoop and Dre from 1993; the same timetable in which Snoop discovered Bow.
While countless Twitter users poked fun at Bow Wow for the photo — which he claims was sent to him by a fan — is he right? Was Bow Wow really part of Death Row? Well, Bow claims he was indeed part of Death Row at age 6 and says the photo displays the “label roster” at that time. However, there’s been little to no evidence that he was actually signed to the legendary label. In the early ’90s, Snoop, who discovered Bow around 1993, reportedly initiated work between Bow and Death Row. Then, in 1998 at age 11, Bow met Jermaine Dupri, who began to mentor him and played a major role in the launch of his music career.
