“If your doctor gives you the worst prognosis, says ‘Jimmy or Jane, sorry to tell you, you won’t be around for two more weeks’ — doesn’t make a damn bit of difference,” Trump said to cheers at a Concord, North Carolina, rally.
“You get out of bed and you vote … get out there, no matter how you feel.”
Trump traveled to the Tar Heel state for a pair of appearances in a state that remains up for grabs with five days until the nation votes.
“Hillary (Clinton) is an unstable person,” Trump told the crowd. “I think she’s probably spent $500 million on phony ads against me.”
The Trump campaign rolled out its own ad Thursday, linking the Democratic nominee with disgraced ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner. The pervy politician is under investigation for his raunchy cyber chats with a 15-year-old North Carolina girl.
Photos of Weiner, along with his estranged wife/Clinton confidante Huma Abedin, flash on the screen as a voiceover tears into the Democratic candidate.
“Hillary Clinton is under FBI investigation again, after her emails were found on pervert Anthony Weiner’s laptop,” the voice declares in the 30-second ad.
“Think about that. America’s most sensitive secrets unlawfully sent, received and exposed by Hillary Clinton, her staff … and Anthony Weiner? Hillary Clinton — unfit to serve.”
Forget the “Access Hollywood” video, the Rosie O’Donnell insults, the feud with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly.
Melania Trump, in a rare campaign appearance, insisted Thursday that her husband would create a nation where women were respected and given equal opportunities.
The Slovenian native turned U.S. citizen told a suburban Philadelphia audience that Donald Trump wants to fix an American system that he thinks is broken.
And she defended Trump, blasted during the campaign for everything from his call for a Mexican border wall to his sexist comments about women, as a good husband and father.
“I have come here to talk about this man I have known for 18 years,” she said. “And I have come today to talk about our partnership, our family, and what I know for sure in my heart about this man who will make America great again.”
She specifically addressed the issue of Trump’s insulting and sexist comments about women.
Trump “has asked some simple but very important questions,” she said — and one was “do you want a country that respects women and presents them with equal opportunity?”
As First Lady, the former fashion model said she would serve as “an advocate for women and children … I will also work hard to improve everyday life for women.”
Melania’s first stint on the campaign trail since the GOP convention in July was set for Berwyn, Pa., where she was tasked with countering the public image of her thrice-married husband.
Though Pennsylvania is still leaning Clinton’s way, recent polls indicated Trump is closing the gap there.
But the state’s Republican U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey refused to say Thursday whether he would vote for Trump on Election Day.
Trump’s daughter Ivanka made a New Hampshire campaign appearance where she promised her dad would made “radical leaps” in wage equality for women — and he wouldn’t stop there.
“Women’s issues are jobs,” she said. “Women’s issues are security. Women’s issues are the major issues affecting this country.”
New Hampshire is another of the undecided swing states in the election.
Donald Trump does not possess merely the right disposition for the Oval Office — he’s got the best one.
“I’m honored to have the greatest temperment that anyone’s ever had,” the GOP presidential candidate boasted Thursday during a Florida campaign appearance.
Trump, whose critics frequently question his capacity to lead the nation, staked his claim during a stump speech in Pensacola.
All is apparently not forgiven between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.
The Texas senator hit the campaign trail with Trump running mate Mike Pence for a rally outside Des Moines, Iowa — but he failed to mention the GOP ticket’s presidential candidate.
The closest Cruz came to giving Trump the thumbs-up in his 14-minute speech was a declaration that “we’re going to defeat Hillary Clinton in the presidential election.”
When both men sought the Republican nomination, Trump referred to Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted,” suggested Cruz’s father played a role in the JFK assassination, and tweeted an unflattering picture of Cruz’s wife.
Cruz, in return, called Trump “a pathological liar” and a “serial philanderer.”
Donald Trump, in a second straight day of Florida campaigning, delivered a withering Thursday attack on Hillary Clinton — and a quick shot at President Obama.
The Republican nominee, mounting a last-ditch charge in the presidential campaign’s final five days, repeatedly invoked the ongoing Clinton email scandal and denounced his opponent as “Crooked Hillary.”
“She engaged in corrupt pay to play for personal enrichment, she lied to the FBI, and she lied to the American people,” Trump told a crowd in Jacksonville, Fla.
Trump, to raucous cheers and chants of “Lock her up!,” reached back to the last millennium to invoke President Clinton’s sex scandal.
“Here we go again with the Clintons,” said Trump. “You remember the impeachment and the problems. She’s likely to be under investigation for many years. This is not what we need in this country, folks.”
If Clinton never faces charges over her emails while Secretary of State, Trump said, remember one thing: “The system is rigged.”
Trump left Florida for a pair of appearances in North Carolina.
Both states remain up for grabs, and a Trump triumph in Tuesday’s election appears impossible unless he can carry Florida and North Carolina.
Before heading north, Trump squeezed in a jab at President Obama — who was rallying the Clinton troops at Florida International University in Miami.
“He’s down here campaigning for Crooked Hillary,” said Trump. “Why isn’t he back in the office … bringing our jobs back and helping our veterans? Why?”
Trump’s full-court press for for Florida’s 29 electoral votes began with Wednesday stops in Miami, Orlando and Pensacola.
The GOP presidential candidate started his Thursday efforts by promoting wife Melania’s scheduled afternoon speech in Pennsylvania — where polls show Trump closing the gap on front-runner Clinton.
“So exciting, big crowds!” Trump tweeted about his wife’s appearance with vice presidential candidate Mike Pence’s wife, Karen. “I will be watching from North Carolina.”
The billionaire developer was set for a pair of appearances in contested North Carolina — first in Concord, then in Selma.
