Man found shot to death on Queens home’s lawn

A 65-year-old man was found Thursday morning shot to death on a lawn outside a Queens home, police said.

Dan Gonzalez was discovered dead about 8:10 a.m. by a neighbor face up in front of the home on Bardwell Ave. near 209th Place in Queens Village. He had been shot in the head.

There were no immediate arrests.

It was the 11th homicide citywide of 2018. There were 12 homicides in the city by this time last year.

The city recorded 290 homicides last year, the lowest number since 1951.
