US senator warns North Korea plot to profit from nuclear WAR:- The chilling warning from the Californian senator reveals the North Korean regime may try to profit off its nuclear programme by selling its destructive weapons to enemies abroad.
This would put Western states in peril as a nuclear bomb could go off when the intelligence services are focused on the North Korean territory.
Nancy Pelosi, the leading Democrat in the Senate, said the US had to be serious about war and confirmed she would vote for a ground invasion if diplomacy had been exhausted.
Mrs Pelosi told the CNN’s State of the Union that her biggest fear was of Pyongyang selling nuclear technology to third parties.
She said: “We have to exhaust every other remedy. North Korea’s behaviour have to stop, it has to be reversed.
“The real danger we are missing is that they will want to sell this technology.
“I was in Pyongyang on an intelligence trip several years ago. They told us, ‘We only make weapons to sell them – do you want to buy them?’
“They could sell this technology and proliferate nuclear weapons. What they are doing is advertising with these tests.”
The House Minority Leader warned: “We are poking a stick in the eye of a mad dog with some of what we’re saying.”
Mrs Pelosi’s comments follow a report from the Pentagon which revealed the only way to destroy all of North Korea’s nuclear weapons “with complete certainty” would be to conduct a ground invasion of the country.
While the leading Democrat remained open to this option, others immediately ruled out troops on the ground, claiming such an invasion would be “an unwinnable war”.
Many Democrats warned that an outbreak of ground warfare would kill millions in just the first few days.
