As if we needed another reason to love Tess Holliday, 32. The stunning model continually proves that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, even though haters try to tell her differently. While taking to Instagram on Oct. 8, she opened up about how trolls diss her body type on a regular basis — even accusing her of using Photoshop. Tess decided to take matters into her own hands by posting provocative new snaps while clad in sheer lingerie, with a message directed at her nay-sayers. “Haters will say it’s photoshopped,” she wrote. “Some will tell me to cover up. Others will say I’m promoting obesity. Whatever they say, I will still get up in the morning with my head held high, wrapped in the arms of a man who loves me and my fat body and to my kids smiling when they wake up and see their mom… So really, I will stay winning.”
It was only a short while ago that Tess gushed about her hubby Nick Holliday while revealing the stresses of her insanely hectic schedule. She’s made several Fashion Week appearances recently and has been busy promoting her new book The Not So Subtle Art of Being a Fat Girl. “We are both jet-lagged and irritated from lack of sleep and life stuff and I tripped on Nick’s skateboard in the house today and hurt my back/head and now Bowie won’t go to bed,” she vented to her followers over the weekend. “I’m posting this photo to remind myself of how happy I was the day we got married when right now, I want to be mad at him… but I can’t… I mean, look at that ridiculous jumpsuit! I hope tonight we all sleep, and wake up less cranky.”
Tess previously revealed that she wants to destigmatize the word “fat,” hence why she opted for that title when it came to her book. “It’s how I describe myself. It’s a descriptor; it’s an adjective,” she told PEOPLE during a Sept. 2017 interview. “It’s how I choose to describe my body. I thought why not have fun with it, why not shock people. It’s kind of what I’ve been about. And hopefully, make people laugh and help people.” Tess added, “We just want to feel sexy and seen, you know, and it’s good that people hopefully listen.”
