Amber Rose just landed herself in the hotpot with the latest scandal she’s gotten wrapped up in.
The model was called out on social media after an interview of hers on “Drink Champs” surfaced online, on the show she talked about her upbringing in Philadelphia, PA.
What stuck out to people is when she began to belittle the other women from her community, “I grew up in a very poor neighborhood and…I don’t know how I can say this without it sounding f**ked up, but a lot of the people where I’m from aren’t traditionally attractive people.”
Obviously in this day-in-age her comment sparked backlash, Rose’s social media was spammed with hate and full of others angry with disagreement.
The more sensible of the spam was full of those defending it as her opinion, while if you pay attention to what she’s saying is very true.
Rose talked about her beauty being a blessing and a curse, she explained that it made people question her hometown, implying that there was no one someone as pretty as her could be from there.
The social beauty standards of today are higher and very unachievable, Rose just believes that people from her neck of the woods don’t necessarily fit under the fashion war.
When she realized how people were reacting she took to instagram to explain herself.
“Seeing online today that people took a clip from the ‘Drink Champs’ interview that I did, and I know that people like really want me to be a superficial b*tch but I’m just not that person. I find beauty in everyone. I think everyone is beautiful. Unfortunately it’s not easy doing interviews and, you know, always saying things the way you really want to articulate [indiscernible]. It’s like kinda when you send a text to someone and they’re like ‘Why do you have a attitude’ and you’re like ‘I don’t have a attitude.”
Its clear that Rose didnt mean to spark the hate she’s recieving, it also gives no one any right to mock those for having enhancment surgeries.
