Dancing With the Stars Results: And the Winner Is
For Dancing With the Stars’ Season 23 competitors, it was the night they had been dreaming about since selection Monday this summer.
The final three remaining celebrities gave it everything they had, with a spot in the pantheon of Mirror Ball trophy winners on the line.
Jana Kramer’s elimination left just a trio of stars standing with an opportunity to claim the coveted title of DWTS champion. They are:
1. Calvin Johnson (and Lindsay Arnold)
2. Laurie Hernandez (and Val Chmerkovskiy)
3. James Hinchliffe (and Sharna Burgess)
We kicked things off with all of the participants performing a dance routine. It was great and brought everyone together again.
After some encore performances, Maksim Chmerkovskiy took to the stage with the ladies as they danced away to “Women Up.”
The final 3 had to make one last ditch effort to make sure they would win the whole thing.
Let’s get on to their performances…
James and Sharna went with a Viennese Waltz Foxtrot and it was another stellar performance for them.
All of the judges were blown away and made it clear they were impressed by the growth in the duo over the course of the season.
Score 40/40!
Calvin and Lindsay then took to the dance floor and performed a jive and quickstep.
The judges couldn’t help but praise the performance and called it one of their best. Carrie Ann even went as far as saying Calvin makes the world a better place when he dances. Okay then.

Finally, Laurie and Val took to the dance floor to dance Foxtrot Argentine Tango. It was another perfect score, with all of the judges handing out the highest numbers.
Maybe they only had the one score to give tonight, or something.

After all of the random dances, recapping the season and showing just how well Ryan Lochte performed, we thought it was time for the end of the show. However, Jana Kramer treated us to her hit single “Circles.” It was another treat.
When that was all said and done, we found out who the winner was.
