Phoenix police: High school student arrested for having gun : PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a student at North Canyon High School in Phoenix is in custody after bringing a gun on campus.
Phoenix police say a school resource officer was alerted to a student who might be carrying a gun at around noon Tuesday.
School officials called police and officers confronted the student, who then led them to the handgun’s location.
Police say student was cooperative and there was no intent to harm anyone on campus.
They say the student may face charges.
The age and gender of the student wasn’t immediately released.
