TCI America, located in Portland, Or, supports customers located in North, Central, and South America. We are building our customer service team and have 3 possible shifts: 5am-2pm, 7am-4pm, and 8am-5pm PDT Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Enter customer orders received via fax, email, phone, EDI, online, or mail into our SAP order entry system Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combine data from multiple systems when account information is incomplete Provide the first point of custom contact for inquires such as pricing, product information, shipments, invoice copies, SDS, Certificate of Analysis, distributor search information, and orders Ensure delivery of excellent customer service through timely and accurate processing of orders, and communication and coordination with other departments to resolve inquiries Answer inbound calls promptly and manage them efficiently in a professional manner Create new accounts in the SAP system Maintain accurate information and notes in customer accounts and orders Assist with general filing, data entry projects, and other departmental projects - as need < High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least two years of experience in a fast paced customer service role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background Associates or Bachelors' degree in Business or Science related field and/or customer service training preferred Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and positive attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Must be detail oriented with good problem solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in demanding work environment Strong computer skills including ability to navigate multiple computer programs at one time Knowledge and experience using MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel Ability to learn and understand basic chemical names Ability to type at least 45 WPM and perform basic math problems Must be able to pass drug and background screens TCI America is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, sex, martial status, veteran status, sexual orientation, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
