Hydraulic Technician SunSource, headquartered in Addison, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago), is one of North America's leading fluid power distribution companies, providing products, services and information in hydraulics, pneumatics, filtration, automation systems, and related industrial components, serving both the industrial, OEM, MRO, and mobile equipment markets. SunSource Hydraulic Service & Repair Centers offer our mobile and industrial partners a nationwide service and repair network that delivers cost-effective, timely remanufactured hydraulic components and equipment upgrade solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician in Marrero, LA. The primary responsibility of the Hydraulic Technician is to service and repair various pumps, motors, and power units including testing, trouble-shooting, repair and assembly. Diagnose problems and give recommendations for repairs Investigate hydraulic or pneumatic systems that are not working properly using schematics and diagnostic equipment Inspect parts and various components. Determine if parts are re-workable. Write up the unit in a complete service report Required Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent troubleshooting skills 1 to 3 years fluid power service and repair experience Ability to read schematics Strong attention to detail Self motivated and organized Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs Able to stand 95 to 100% of the workday Valid drivers license Desirable Qualifications (but not required): 2-year fluid power associates degree and certification If you meet these qualifications and are interested in making a positive change in your career, then we want to hear from you!
