Venue Description

Walter E. Washington Convention Center is located in the Shaw and Mt. Vernon Square, in Washington DC, US. It is a venue that not only caters to large events, but also small ones ranging from 40 to 40,000 accommodations. The Center was established in 2003 and features a total of 703,000 square feet of key exhibit space. The venue is governed by the Washington Convention Center Authority, a corporate body established in 1994 with the objective of obtaining, building, and furnishing, sustaining and operating a new convention center. It also has a 40,000 square feet of registration space, 150,000 square feet of 66 individual meeting rooms and 52,000-square-foot ballroom.
