There are so many stars in our film industry and from a past decade, they have been entertaining us in the best way possible. Finn Carter Early Life and Academy Specifics


Finn Carter was born on March 9th, 1960 in Greenville, Mississippi, USA. Her father Hodding Carter III was a former United States State Department Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs and her mother was the former Margaret Ainsworth Wolfe. She attended Walnut Hill School and got graduated from there itself. She had also performed Arts in Natick, Massachusetts, and Skidmore College in New York. Finn Carter went to New Orleans in Louisiana to attend and get enrolled at Tulane University.

Finn Carter had been a part of theater, television, and films since a long time and played every character authentically well. She commenced her career with theater by being a member of Circle Repertory Company in New York. She has been known for the creation of the role of Effie Herrington at the San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre in the play titled Up in Saratoga. It was written by Terrence McNally and it was very well directed by Jack O’Brien. Then she appeared at Pasadena Playhouse in a revival of the play named Biloxi Blues and it was her second west coast theater appearance. During that while, she also started considering TV projects as well and had made appearances in a few of them like playing the role of Sierra Estaban Reyes Montgomery in a CBS daytime soap opera titled As the World Turns. Finn Carter played that role for 3 consecutive years from 1985-1988 and also appeared as a short reprise in 1994. When she cut off her ties from the daytime TV soap she started appearing as a guest on many TV shows. 

Then in the year 1989, Finn Carter got her biggest breakthrough with an opportunity to appear on the big screen. It was for her debut film which was a romantic comedy entitled How I Got into College co starring Anthony Edwards. In the year 1990, she had played the role of Rhonda LeBeck in the western monster film named Tremors starring opposite Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. That film did pretty well at the box office and she had also won the Saturn Award for Best Actress nomination for her amazing portrayal in the film. Later on, she was again seen on famous ABC TV series named China Beach having a recurring role as a nurse named Linda Matlock Lanier. She had been cast for playing the lead actress in the action film titled Sweet Justice. Then in the year 1996, she had played a role in supporting actress in the Rob Reiner’s TV drama named Ghosts of Mississippi. Then for another few years, we saw her as guest appearing on several television shows like Law & Order, Murder, She Wrote, Diagnosis: Murder, ER, The Outer Limits, NYPD Blue, Chicago Hope, Judging Amy, Strong Medicine and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Finn Carter had also been cast for the FOX sitcom short lived show named Secret Service Guy in 1997. She also had a number of leading roles in many made-for-television movies. Her final and last screen appearance were in an independent film titled Halfway Decent co starring Ernie Hudson. 

Finn Carter Personal Life and Relationship


Finn Carter had married Steven Weber in 1987 and their marriage lasted till 1994. They met on the sets of As the World Turns. Her second marriage was with a man named James Woodruff. They married in 1997 and the marriage ended in 2007. Finn Carter has two beautiful daughters with James
