Until it can hide everything under the glass and still have the glass act as a screen, there’s one solution on the market that everyone is following. Yes… Samsung is thinking about a Galaxy Notch, as I reported earlier this week:

The notch that was started by Sharp and Essential, but will forever be associated with Apple, continues its march into the flagship form factor. To be fair, everyone is following the same design trends of maximizing frontal area while minimising visible bezels. There’s not much else you can do – and with Google offering native software support in Android for screen cut outs this is the way forward, at least until more technology can be packed under an active display and the notch can be summarily deleted.

Galaxy Note 9 Has A New Crown

Meanwhile the South Korean company has managed to have the Galaxy Note 9 confirmed. Thanks to a number of leaks we have three key details. The headline feature (an under the screen fingerprint reader), the key specification change (a 4000 mAh battery), and the promise of a codename (‘Crown’). Let’s add it all up:

Uber-leaker Evan Blass has revealed Samsung’s codename for the Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960U) is “Crown”. If ever a codename was designed to exude confidence and status, this is it. And as the leaks continue to break through Samsung’s famous Swiss Cheese security, it is easy to see why.

Just last week mysterious leaker Ice Universe (who broke the Galaxy Note 8 design, attained the first real-world photos of the Galaxy S8 and nailed every single detail of the Galaxy S9) revealed the Galaxy Note 9 will be the first mass-market smartphone to feature an in-display fingerprint reader as well as a huge 4,000 mAh battery.

Forbes’ Gordon Kelly has more.

S9 Beats iPhone X In Durability Tests

Sitting ahead of the rest of the smartphone pack, including Apple’s iPhone, is Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The latest look at the durability of your handset comes from Consumer Report and is covered by SamMobile.

Samsung’s efforts to make the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ faster and more durable and equipping them with fantastic stereo speakers seem to have paid off, at least when it comes to Consumer Reports’ smartphone rankings. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ sit at the top of the ratings at Consumer Reports thanks to their impressive performance in the durability, speed, and sound categories. Not surprising, given these are the segments in which Samsung’s latest flagships offer the most substantial upgrades, in addition to the primary camera.

Source:-https://www.forbes.com/sites/ewanspence/2018/04/20/android-google-news-samsung-galaxys9-s9plus-galaxynotch-oneplus6-nokia7plus/#3642977a269b

Android Circuit: New Galaxy Note Confirmed, OnePlus 6 Leaks, Samsung Patents ‘iPhone X Style’ Notch Taking a look back at seven days of news and headlines across the world of Android, this week’s Android Circuit includes the Samsung Galaxy Notch, Note 9 details confirmed, the S9 beats the iPhone X, […]

[13
132942,692,14505,12073,14823
post-63732","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-technology","tag-android-circuit-new-galaxy-note-confirmed-oneplus-6-leaks-samsung-patents-iphone-x-style-notch","tag-latest-technology-news","tag-technology-news-headlines","tag-technology-news-today","tag-technology-news-usa
["GET
