Mrs. Pelosi decried tax cuts touted by Mr. Trump, along with his proposed budget, when an outburst came from the crowd.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">\u201cThis about the United States of America, about our children\u2019s future,\u201d the lawmaker said. \u201cAnd again, it can\u2019t possibly be a statement of value for us to talk about, as Martin Luther King said, God really didn\u2019t intend \u2026 never really intended one group of people to live in superfluous inordinate wealth while others live in abject, deadening poverty.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">The audience applauded before someone from the Grand Canyon State repeatedly asked, \u201cHow much are you worth, Nancy?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">\u201cNo, we\u2019re not talking about that,\u201d the Democrat replied. \u201cI\u2019m a mother of five, I can speak louder than Washington Free Beacon noted in January that Mrs. Pelosi\u2019s 2016 financial-disclosure statement places her \u201cin the top one-tenth of the 1 percent of Americans.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">\u201cPelosi\u2019s annual property tax bill alone on three luxury homes last year\u2014 $137,000 \u2014 is more than twice the 2016 U.S. median household income of $59,039, which the U.S. Census reported last fall,\u201d the website reported Jan. 25.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">The lawmaker\u2019s finances have been under increased scrutiny in recent weeks due to her decision to frame $1,000 cash bonuses given out by businesses as \u201ccrumbs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">\u201cThe bonus that corporate America received versus the crumbs that they are giving workers to kind of put the schmooze on is so pathetic,\u201d she told
