{"id":57454,"date":"2018-01-27T05:04:07","date_gmt":"2018-01-27T05:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biphoo.com\/bipnews\/?p=57454"},"modified":"2018-01-27T05:04:07","modified_gmt":"2018-01-27T05:04:07","slug":"alaska-deemed-most-dangerous-state-in-us-in-new-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biphoo.com\/bipnews\/news\/alaska-deemed-most-dangerous-state-in-us-in-new-report.html","title":{"rendered":"Alaska deemed most dangerous state in US in new report"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Alaska deemed most dangerous state in US in new report<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Based on 2016 stats, Alaska has been named the most dangerous state in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">24\/7 Wall Street released its annual report on the &#8220;Most Dangerous States in America&#8221; on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">By examining the FBI&#8217;s 2016 Uniform Crime Report, which was released this week, the report found that Alaska is the most dangerous state in America, and concluded that Anchorage is the state&#8217;s most dangerous city.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">The report states that in 2016, there were 804 violent crimes per 100,000 Alaskan citizens, 52 murders and 409 adults per 100,000 residents were imprisoned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Louisiana, Tennessee, Nevada and New Mexico rounded out the top five.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Nationwide, of the 10 most violent states, nine are either in the South or the West, while New England states made up half of the country&#8217;s 10 safest states.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Overall, the violent crime rate rose in 38 states from 2015 to 2016.
