North Korea WARNING: Kim Jong-un could spark World War 3 by selling arms to THIS country<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

NORTH KOREAN ships should be inspected by the United States to stop the rogue state selling missiles to Iran, an expert has claimed.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea sell missiles to Iran and should be stopped by the United States an East Asia expert has said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The accusation comes as North Korea has refused to shut down its nuclear programme, sparking World War 3 fears.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea has entered talks with South Korea and during discussions, the country\u2019s decided that they will march together at the Winter Olympics.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Gordon Chang, the author of \u2018Nuclear Showdown\u2019 warned about Kim Jong-un\u2019s relationship with Iran.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cOne thing that the US should do is interject North Korean shipping on the high seas to make sure that they do not sell weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey sell missiles to Iran, we have allowed this trade to continue. That is an American fault so I think that the United States should exercise all the authority that it has.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIndeed, although the UN does not allow the US to stop ships on the high seas, we do not really care about that because the North Koreans, on a number of occasions have renounced the Korean war armistice.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo there is no longer an agreement to use force. Because there is no agreement not to use force, we can sink North Korean ships.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not saying that we should do that, but I am saying that we should inspect them to make sure that North Korea is not selling weapons and the sale of weapons is in violations of UN sanctions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe UN security council won\u2019t enforce its own rules, the United States must do so.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Chang has previously warned earlier this month that if the United States strikes North Korea, four states, including Iran could combine to spark World War 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIf we strike North Korea first, you can see China cause trouble in the South China Sea. You can see Russia go after the Baltics. The Iranians will do something.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe could see Asia being embroiled on both sides. It\u2019s close to a world war. This thing could spread very fast and that\u2019s the real danger here.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis can spread to the US homeland because the Chinese and the Russians could actually get into a nuclear exchange with the United States. I\u2019m not saying it\u2019s going to happen but I\u2019m saying that\u2019s a possibility.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The comments come over fears that Pyongyang is using the talks with South Korea to drive a wedge between the country and the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pyongyang and Seoul agreed to march under a ‘unity flag’ at the Games, to be held in Pyeongchang County.<\/span><\/p>\n

South Korean President Moon Jae-in has said that more effort should be done to bring the United States to the negotiating table with North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this month President Donald Trump said that he was open to holding talks with North Korea at the \u201cappropriate time\u201d and under the right \u201ccircumstances\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the recent diplomatic talks between the countries pm the peninsula, Secretary Tillerson said the threat of a war with North Korea is now growing.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWith respect to whether Americans should be concerned about a war with North Korea, I think we all need to be very sober and clear-eyed about the current situation. We have to recognise that the threat is growing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Towards the end of last year, tensions between President Trump and Kim Jong-un reached boiling point as both leaders gloated about the \u201csize\u201d of the \u201cnuclear buttons\u201d on their desks.<\/span><\/p>\n
