Here\u2019s my next prediction, which by now will strike many people as obvious: The Baltics are next, and will pose one of President Donald Trump\u2019s first and greatest tests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">\u201cPutin will instigate an ambiguous militarised crisis using deniable proxies, probably in the next two years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">\u201cPerhaps Russian-speaking Latvians or Estonians \u2013 a quarter of Latvians and Estonians are ethnically Russian \u2013 will begin rioting, protesting for their rights, claiming to be persecuted, asking for \u2018international protection\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">\u201cA suspiciously well armed and well trained \u2018Popular Front for the Liberation of the Russian Baltics\u2019 will appear. A few high-profile assassinations and bond bombings bring the Baltics to the edge of civil war.
