India retaliates against Pakistan attack KILLING 7 SOLDIERS as tensions mount<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

INDIA has retaliated to an attack from neighbouring Pakistan by killing troops along the Line of Control (LoC) that separates the two South Asian nations, it has been reported.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seven Pakistani soldiers were killed and four injured in response to a conflict on Saturday that killed one Indian troop.<\/span><\/p>\n

The conflict took place along the LoC in the district of Poonch, in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Times of India also reported that the Pakistan army issued a statement saying that four soldiers were killed in the Kotli sector in the Jandrot, an area close to the LoC.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Indian army also announced that it had killed six members of the jihadi group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Director General of the police in Jammu and Kashmir, Shesh Paul Vaid, said: “We have recovered five bodies from the spot.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think six have died, one body is being searched for. They belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammad and information was that they are suicide attackers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Vaid detailed that the army had received reports of possible attempts by the organisation to \u201cinfiltrate\u201d its Uri sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added: \u201cIn the past few days, we were getting reports about possible attempts to infiltrate the Uri sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo, ambushes were laid out in that area by Army, Jammu and Kashmir police and the Central Reserve Police Force.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the morning, an exchange of fire took place in one of the ambushes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In response, India\u2019s Army Chief General, Bipin Rawat, issued a stark warning to Pakistan and blamed it for helping terrorists \u201csneak into India\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

He declared: \u201cThe Pakistan Army has been continuously trying to help terrorists sneak into India along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are using our might to teach them a lesson. If we are forced, then we may resort to other action by stepping up military offensive.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCeasefire violations by Pakistan happen frequently, to which we respond effectively. We will take even stronger steps against our enemies if we are compelled to do so.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The ceasefire in-effect between the two nations along the International Border, the line that runs between the states of India and the four provinces of Pakistan, was violated by the latter in Jammu and Kashmir more than 720 times last year.<\/span><\/p>\n

This horrifying figure has skyrocketed tensions between the two countries and made the prospect of World War 3 higher than ever – it is the highest in the last seven years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pakistan recently blasted India as \u201cirresponsible\u201d after General Rawat claimed he was ready to call the country\u2019s \u201cnuclear bluff\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pakistan\u2019s foreign minister, Khawaja Asif, launched a scathing attack on the General by declaring the comments were “not befitting his office”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Asif tweeted: \u201cVery irresponsible statement by Indian Army Chief, not befitting his office.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Amounts to invitation for a nuclear encounter.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf that is what they desire, they are welcome to test our resolve.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe general’s doubt would swiftly be removed, inshallah.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The stark threat came after General Rawat suggested he was willing to carry out a military operation that could start World War 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: “We will call the bluff of Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf we will have to really confront the Pakistanis, and a task is given to us, we are not going to say we cannot cross the border because they have nuclear weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe will have to call their nuclear bluff.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
