Kim REBUKES Trump & brands him \u2018war dealer\u2019 after US President’s olive branch<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

NORTH KOREA has reignited its war of words with the US slamming Donald Trump for being a \u201cwar dealer\u201d who is \u201cslaughtering peaceful residents\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rogue state lashed out at Mr Trump after he softened his tone and said he would \u201cabsolutely\u201d hold one-on-one talks with Kim Jong-un to find a diplomatic solution to the nuclear crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n

But North Korean mouthpiece the Rodong Sinmum newspaper blasted back: \u201cThe imperialist forces, led by the United States, are violently infringing upon other countries’ sovereignty and slaughtering peaceful residents.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Today’s international situation is calling for the fundamental overturn of an unequal world, in which plots to interfere in domestic affairs of other sovereign states are brazenly enforced by imperialist reactionary forces headed by the US, and basic principles in international relations are overtly ignored.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The US-led unequal international order is now shaken by the roots by our Republic (the North) which has emerged as a new strategic state capable of posing an actual nuclear threat to the US mainland.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The North Korean newspaper also accused the American of stockpiling nuclear weapons and branded Mr Trump \u201ca premium war dealer who destroys the world peace\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea has refused to tone down its rhetoric in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kim said in his New Year’s address he had a “nuclear button” on his desk to fire atomic weapons at the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

And the US president tweeted back that he too had a nuclear button and it was \u201cbigger and worked\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, just days into the New Year, Mr Trump has done a U-turn and said that he would be \u201cabsolutely\u201d willing to talk to the North Korean leader on the phone .<\/span><\/p>\n

He told reporters at the presidential retreat at Camp David in Maryland that he was eager and willing to talk to Kim but not without preconditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201dAbsolutely, I would do that. I have no problem with that at all.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Yet, as he attempts to strike a more diplomatic tone, it comes in the wake of Mr Trump and Kim exchanging nothing but insults ever since the American leader took office.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Trump had repeatedly called Kim “rocket man” for testing nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

The North is set to hold talks with its estranged neighbour South Korea tomorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Trump suggested the talks might lead to an easing of tensions and took credit for the diplomatic breakthrough, saying it was a result of his steady pressure.<\/span><\/p>\n

He boasted: Kim “knows I’m not messing around. I’m not messing around. Not even a little bit, not even one percent. He understands that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
