On it are not only the launch schedules for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, but also the Galaxy Note 9 and the majority of major Android smartphone launches including the HTC U12, OnePlus 6, Nokia 10, LG G7 and V40 and Google Pixel 3.

Here is the full breakdown:

February – Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, LG G7, LG G7+
April – Xiaomi Mi 7
May – HTC U12
June – OnePlus 6, ZTE Nubia Z18, Sony Xperia XZ Pro-A
August – Nokia 10
September – Galaxy Note 9, LG V40, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
October – Google Pixel 3 XL, ZTE Nubia Z18S, Sony Xperia XZ2, HTC U12+
November – Motorola Moto Z 2019
December – OnePlus 6T, Samsung W2019
For me the most interesting schedule on this list is that of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus were released in April so Samsung’s step up gives those phones just a 10 month hold on top spot – a surprisingly short reign.

Aside from this the list largely fits in with the patterns established by HTC, OnePlus and Google in recent years. In this sense it would be easy for Qualcomm to plausibly deny the leak, even if history were to eventually show all these release dates are correct.

Going back to the Galaxy S9, it’s important to state why I believe Samsung is making one of the most radical smartphones of 2018. It is not because the class leading screen-to-body ratio will get even better (the Galaxy S8 already tops the iPhone X due the latter’s notch), but because what Samsung dares to retain increasingly sets it apart from rivals.

Whereas “brave” Apple, Google, Motorola and others have ditched the headphone jack and expandable storage is again being pushed to one side, Samsung is holding strong and matching the headline hardware while retaining these two fan favourites. I’ve never been a big fan of Samsung software (and replaceable batteries are more topical than ever), being radical means daring to go against trends not just lead them.

Of course Samsung is also starting 2018 with potentially radical mid-rangers in the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 Plus and the crazy folding Galaxy X. But for me it is the combination of cutting edge and loyalty to the past at scale which makes the Galaxy S9 the radical real deal to me…

Source:- https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2018/01/02/radical-galaxy-s9-confirmed-by-samsungs-biggest-partner/#3ac181bd3d2e

Samsung Partner Confirms Radical Galaxy S9?
