That is only stored in users\u2019 mobiles, computers and other terminals,\u201d WeChat said in a post on the social media platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">\u201cWeChat will not use any content from user chats for big data analysis. Because of WeChat\u2019s technical model that does not store or analyze user chats, the rumor that \u2018we are watching your WeChat everyday\u2019 is pure misunderstanding.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Li Shufu, chairman of Geely Holdings, owner of the Volvo car brand, was quoted in Chinese media on Monday as saying Tencent Chairman Ma Huateng \u201cmust be watching all our WeChats every day\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Like all Chinese social media platforms, WeChat is required to censor public posts deemed \u201cillegal\u201d by the Communist Party.
