North Korea WARNING: War could break out in ‘9 MONTHS’ \u2013 TOO LATE to disarm Kim peacefully<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

NORTH KOREA may prove impossible to disarm “peacefully” and Donald Trump could use military action on the rogue state in as little as “nine months”, according to American author Gordon Chang.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea could become the focus of World War 3 in as little as nine months after US President Donald Trump promised to stop the rogue state from killing millions of Americans, warns American author and lawyer Gordon Chang.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the author of ‘Nuclear Showdown: North Korea Takes On The World’ said \u201cthere is a fear in Washington that the United States is too late in disarming North Korea peacefully and that\u2019s why you hear a lot of war talk.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s war talk not from analysts. It\u2019s war talk from senior administration officials.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Chang added: \u201cFortunately, right now, the United States is not preparing to use force but at some point, it very well may. And that\u2019s why this is dangerous.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump said many times he\u2019s not going to allow North Koreans to have the capability to kill Americans by the millions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWell, if he\u2019s as good as his word, he will use force in nine months, a year from now if he\u2019s not able to disarm North Korea before then.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Professor and former speechwriter Patrick Greenfield said the US must exhaust all diplomatic options before sparking a war on the hermit nation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Appearing on Fox News, Mr Granfield said: \u201cI think in order to have diplomacy work you do need to have a credible threat of force.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEven though we are in the season of hope and joy and peace, I think we do really need to think seriously \u2013 think hard about the prospect of what a military confrontation, of what military actions against North Korea would entail in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd this is difficult because ever since North Korea got a nuclear capability back in 2006, in the Bush administration there\u2019s really been a lack of clarity about what the options are and about what we have to do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In an effort to stop the rogue nation, the United Nations Security Council imposed tough new sanctions on North Korea after its continued missile testing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The resolution seeks to ban nearly 90 percent of refined petroleum product exports to North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n
