Kim Jong-un’s brutal regime rounding up children for labour camps<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

NORTH KOREA\u2019S brutal regime has been uncovered with children working in labour camps, an expert has claimed.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea has been accelerating its nuclear and ballistic missile programmes, sparking World War 3 fears across the globe.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rogue state has been hit with another load of United Nations sanctions after its continued missile threats.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Gordon Chang explained the devastating conditions of living in the hermit kingdom.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe do focus on the war of words the insults and the threats, and I think the President should go light on those. He\u2019s got this point across, he has entertained everybody.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn terms of his substantive policy, it has actually been very good. It has been to go around the world to cut off these money flows to North Korea. So they cannot launch missiles, detonate nukes or so that Kim Jong-un cannot engage in gift politics, which is the giving of luxury items like Mercedes and Rolex\u2019s to senior regime elements to buy their loyalty.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are signs that Donald Trump\u2019s plan is working. We\u2019re seeing for instance that junior officials in Pyongyang, part of the regimes favourite class are not getting their rations from the special distribution channels.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are stories for instance that the regime is accelerating the demand for loyalty payments, which are informal taxes, and that indicates a tax-flow problem.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are even stories, and I don\u2019t know how to put these into context. But there are stories that children are being rounded up to be put in labour camps so they can turn out products for the regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of these stories may be exaggerated, but they all point in the same direction, that is that the President\u2019s plan to cut off money to North Korea is starting to have an effect.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The author has previously warned that the North Korean regime was strapped for cash after a defector embarrassed the state by escaping across the demilitarised zone back in November.<\/span><\/p>\n

The border guard, known only by his surname Oh, fled by army vehicle and then on foot as he was shot at by North Korean guards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ten-inch long parasitic worms had to be removed from the stomach of the defector, revealing the appalling conditions of life in the hermit kingdom. Mr Chang claimed that this was evidence of frailties within Kim Jong-un’s regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThis soldier, surnamed Oh, was the best of the best… The fact that one of them would defect is an indication that there are real problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf the best of the best don\u2019t get sufficient nourishment, we can only imagine what about the rest of the population.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The United Nations Security Council imposed tough new sanctions on North Korea after its continued missile testing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The resolution seeks to ban nearly 90 percent of refined petroleum product exports to North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The resolution also bans exports of industrial equipment, machinery, transportation vehicles and industrial metals to North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Trump tweeted: \u201cThe United Nations Security Council just voted 15-0 in favour of additional Sanctions on North Korea. The World wants Peace, not Death!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The North Korea foreign ministry responded to the UN sanctions and branded them an \u201cact of war\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
