North Korea vows to ‘TAKE REVENGE’ on USA as Kim ‘mounts ANTHRAX on missiles’<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

North Korea vows to ‘TAKE REVENGE’ on USA as Kim ‘mounts ANTHRAX on missiles’:- NORTH Korea has vowed to \u201ctake revenge\u201d on the United States after defence officials in Washington revealed the rouge state is developing its arsenal of sick chemical and biological weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kim Jong-un\u2019s regime is also pursing ballistic missiles capable of delivering deadly pathogens, a national security report published by the White House said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Experts believe the hermit kingdom has one of the largest stockpiles of bioweapons in the world, including plague, anthrax and smallpox.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the regime today rejected the claim as \u201cgroundless\u201d and insisted it was fulfilling its obligations under the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) which prohibits the production or stockpile of biowarfare weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

The denial comes on the same day Japanese media has reported North Korea has begun tests to see whether anthrax can be loaded on to one of its new intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM).<\/span><\/p>\n

And the report in Japan\u2019s Asahi newspaper warned the regime may have \u201calready succeeded\u201d in its experiments.<\/span><\/p>\n

The article, which cites an anonymous source connected to South Korean intelligence, says: \u201cNorth Korea has started experiments such as heat and pressure equipment to prevent anthrax from dying even at a high temperature of over 7,000 degrees generated at the time of ICBM’s re-entry into the atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn part, there is unconfirmed information that it has already succeeded in such experiments.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

However the North has hit back, insisting the US claims are aimed at further isolating the secretive state.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korean state media said: “The DPRK, as a state party to the BWC, maintains its consistent stand to oppose development, manufacture, stockpiling and possession of biological weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The more the US clings to the anti-DPRK stifling move, the more hardened the determination of our entire military personnel and people to take revenge will be.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A US national security report released on Monday branded North Korea as \u201ca country that starves its own people\u201d while spending \u201chundreds of millions of dollars on nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons that could threaten our homeland\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

And despite the North\u2019s denials, experts believe Kim may have one of the largest arsenals of bioweapons in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

A study concluded by intelligence company AMPLYFI and Harvard University in October warned Kim would not respect international safety standards or the rules of war.<\/span><\/p>\n

The joint \u2018North Korea\u2019s Biological Weapons Program\u2019 report said: \u201cNorth Korea could produce military-style batches of biological weapons, specifically anthrax.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe most recent statement by the South Korean Defence Ministry is that \u2018North Korea has 13 types of biological weapons which it can weaponise within 10 days\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd anthrax and smallpox are the likely agents it would deploy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
