Bremerton is about 14 miles west of Seattle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">The driver, identified as a 53-year-old man, fired \u201cnumerous shots\u201d at the officers, police tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">\u201cOne officer was struck with at least two rounds in the abdomen and the other officer was struck in the waist,\u201d Bremerton Police Chief Steve Strachan said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">The officers fired back and struck the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">The officers were hospitalized.
