North Korea declares the \u2018RABID DOGS\u2019 in the South will \u2018pay a dear price’<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Consultative Council for National Reconciliation, the rogue state\u2019s body for handling inter-Korean matters, blasted newly imposed sanctions on domestic organisations and individuals that are attempting to cripple the nation\u2019s aggressive nuclear programme.<\/span><\/p>\n

A spokesman for the body said: “The foolish sanctions and pressure racket of the rabid dogs serving the US will only make them pay a dear price.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The comments made on Friday come after the North\u2019s neighbour added 20 organisations and 12 individuals from the isolationist kingdom to a sanctions blacklist.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea has lashed out at the world with continued regularity as nations attempt to thwart its ever-expanding military arsenal.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Thursday the country skewered the US for threatening to bring the world close to the \u201cbrink of war\u201d after Washington threatened to deploy a naval blockade on the Korean peninsula.<\/span><\/p>\n

A spokesman for Kim\u2019s regime told state-run media: “The gang of Trump, being terrified by our accomplishment of the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force, is driving the situation on the Korean peninsula more and more close to the brink of war, acting recklessly without any sense of reason.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The statement was given to the North’s official mouthpiece the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).<\/span><\/p>\n

It added: “A naval blockade is an act of wanton violation of the sovereignty and dignity of an independent state and an act of war of aggression which cannot be tolerated.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

As Donald Trump repeatedly threatens that military measures could be used to put an end to despot leader Kim Jong-un, his Secretary of State appears to be pushing for a diplomatic solution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rex Tillerson declared that negotiations with the rogue state could be possible after a \u201ca sustained cessation of North Korea’s threatening behaviour\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added: \u201cNorth Korea must earn its way back to the table.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Tillerson also revealed the US would continue to tighten its grip on North Korea through the use of diplomatic and financial efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

He went on: “There is but one party that has carried out illegal detonation of illegal devices, there is but one party that launches intercontinental ballistic missiles\u2026that is the Kim regime in North Korea.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The mixed messages from Washington towards the North Korean regime were heightened as Friday also saw a retired US Army General detail that Donald Trump is \u201cdeadly serious\u201d about using a military option to put an end to Kim Jong-un.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jack Keane said as it stands the world is “heading to a military solution” to end the tension on the Korean peninsula.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told Fox News: \u201cWe are trying to impose economic sanctions. Listen, we all know sanctions take time to squeeze this regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo, here we\u2019re heading to the use of a military option. I am convinced that the Chinese and North Koreans are beginning to now wake up \u2013 this is not President Bush, this is not President Obama, this is President Trump and he\u2019s dead serious about the potential use of a military option.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham said the possibility of military conflict still remains low.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Senator, however, predicted a significant upwards shift in the possibility if Kim Jong-un fires another test missile.<\/span><\/p>\n

Senator Graham said: “I should say there\u2019s a three in ten chance we use the military option.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf the North Koreans conduct an additional test of a nuclear bomb \u2013 their seventh \u2013 I would say 70 per cent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
