It might, instead, simply show off a new phone for that who want the same look but for less. Less hardware, that is. In a similar fashion, LG might be doing something similar, debuting a new LG K phone vis-a-vis Samsung’s new Galaxy A model.

The Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) have already been leaked this week. And while they might be mid-range in specs, Samsung will most likely present them as something like a “cheaper” Galaxy S8. According to sources, the Galaxy A8, just like the other Galaxy A phones. will bear the current Galaxy S flagship design. That means it will have the same “Infinity Display” as this year’s Samsung champs, combining curved edges with 18.5:9 (not a perfect 18:9) aspect ratio, though in a lower Full HD resolution.

While it will have Bixby Home and Bixby Reminders, it won’t have Bixby Voice and, fortunately, no Bixby Button. Its most interesting feature, however, might be the dual front cameras, a first for a Samsung phone.

LG’s mid-range model won’t be a V30 look-alike. Instead, the 2018 LG K10, not to be confused with the 2016 LG K10 pictured above, will be pretty much like any mid-range LG phone, which is to say “normal”. No 18:9 screen, no bezel-less design. It will have a 5.3-inch Full HD screen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage. Just functionality you can afford, so to speak. And an FM radio.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8+, which will stand in for the J5 and J7 next year, is expected to launch in South Korea in the middle of January. The LG K10, on the other hand, will start out life in Korea at the end of January but under a different “X” name.

Source:- https://www.slashgear.com/samsung-galaxy-a8-lg-k10-mid-range-phones-expected-at-ces-2018-15511925/

Samsung Galaxy A8, LG K10 mid-range phones expected at CES 2018 Although Samsung has more or less confirmed that the Galaxy S9 wouldn’t be making an appearance as early as CES 2018, that doesn’t mean it won’t have any phone to show next month.
