{"id":54232,"date":"2017-12-09T08:42:16","date_gmt":"2017-12-09T08:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biphoo.com\/bipnews\/?p=54232"},"modified":"2017-12-09T08:44:10","modified_gmt":"2017-12-09T08:44:10","slug":"consumer-magazine-finds-iphone-8-better-iphone-x","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biphoo.com\/bipnews\/technology\/consumer-magazine-finds-iphone-8-better-iphone-x.html","title":{"rendered":"Consumer magazine finds iPhone 8 better than iPhone X"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;color: #000000\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Consumer magazine finds iPhone 8 better than iPhone X<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Consumers considering buying an Apple iPhone X may be put off after tests found an iPhone 8 may be just as good or maybe even better.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Magazine Consumer Reports found when comparing the iPhone 8 and iPhone X there wasn&#8217;t much overall difference between the two.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Both phones were in the top 10 recommended phone list, but the iPhone 8 rated just a little higher than the iPhone X thanks to durability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">The magazine found while the iPhone X has strengths in the quality of the screen, camera and the FaceID software, the lack of durability and battery life took away from the experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">&#8220;If not for the damage in that durability test, the iPhone X would have come in ahead of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus,&#8221; said Richard Fisco, the head of smartphone testing at Consumer Reports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">The iPhone X is currently on sale for NZ$1799 while the iPhone 8 costs NZ$1249.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">That lack of durability could end up hitting consumers in the pocket.
