SHOCK North Korea WARNING: Kim Jong-un could spark World War 3 in ‘NINE months’<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

NORTH KOREA could spark a \u201cglobal conflict\u201d involving the United States, Russia and China which could lead to World War 3 in just nine months time, an expert has warned.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea has been accelerating its threat to the US and to the globe with recent missile tests.<\/span><\/p>\n

World War 3 fears have been raised and North Korea expert Gordon Change has warned rogue dictator Kim Jong-un could spark a \u201cglobal conflict\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Mr Chang warned 2018 could see war break out as US President Donald Trump aims to pressure Kim Jong-un.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cNorth Korea will be dangerous in about nine months or so because then two things are going to happen at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFirst thing, President Donald Trump’s strangulation campaign, to cut off money flows to North Korea will actually have a great effect on the regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are already seeing signs of problems, of cashflow problems in North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn nine months or so I think that the President\u2019s plan will have a great effect. Also at that time, the North Koreans will become confident in their arsenal.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey will be confident that they can put a nuke on top of a missile that can reach the American homeland. You put those two events together and it spells trouble for 2018.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Chang, the author of Nuclear Showdown, said China and Russia could join the side of North Korea in a potential war.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cYou can\u2019t rule out any scenario, including the start of histories next great war.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe always think that this is going to be a conflict with the United States and South Korea and Japan on one side and North Korea on the other.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut that is an assumption that I would not make. For instance, if there were to be a conflict with North Korea I think it\u2019s entirely possible that China and maybe Russia would come in on Pyongyang\u2019s side.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Chinese have actually said in a Global Times editorial, not official but I do believe it reflects official thinking. That if the United States were to strike North Korea, China would aid North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have got to take them at their word, so this could be a global conflict.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The North Korean regime launched an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) on Wednesday with Kim Jong-un declaring they had “finally realised the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force”.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea claimed the new Hwasong-15 missile soared to an altitude of about 2,780 miles (4,475 km) and flew 590 miles (950km) during its 53-minute flight before landing in the sea new Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The missile launch was a more advanced missile compared to the Hwasong-14 which North Korea tested back in July.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea\u2019s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) claimed the Hwasong-15 was “tipped with super-large heavy warhead which is capable of striking the whole mainland of the US\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The US ambassador to the UN Security Council Nikki Haley said the North Korean regime would be \u201cutterly destroyed\u201d if war comes.<\/span><\/p>\n

She said: \u201cWe have never sought war with North Korea, and still today we do not seek it. If war does come, it will be because of continued acts of aggression like we witnessed yesterday.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Trump has been trying to apply more pressure on the hermit kingdom and re-designated them a state sponsor of terrorism, meaning the US can enforce even more sanctions on Kim Jong-un’s regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

The US President travelled across Asia meeting with allies to present a united front to stand up against the brutal dictator\u2019s hermit kingdom.<\/span><\/p>\n
