South Korea and US join forces to stage ATTACK on North Korea NUCLEAR targets<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

MOCK North Korean nuclear sites and missile launch pads are going to be targeted by six US F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jets as they stage an attack on Kim Jong-un\u2019s regime, following the ICBM test on Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The state of the art fighter jets arrived in South Korea for a joint air drill between Seoul and Washington in a show of force against Kim Jong-un\u2019s North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fighter planes are capable of accurately hitting targets without being detected by an enemy radar.<\/span><\/p>\n

This will be the first time six F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jets have flown over South Korea at one time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The US plans to send F-35A and F-35B stealth jets, F-16C fighter planes and others including an unknown number of B-1B bombers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The South Korean Air Force will also dispatch F-15K, KF-16 and F-5 fighter jets.<\/span><\/p>\n

The allies agreed in October to enhance the deployments of US strategic assets to stop North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats.<\/span><\/p>\n

This comes after North Korea fired a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Wednesday which Seoul says is capable of flying 13,000 kilometres, declaring that it has completed the “state nuclear force.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Within minutes of North Korea’s ICBM launch, South Korea had fired its own missile launch in retaliation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The North Korean missile was fired eastwards from the hermit state. The missile landed about 210km west of Japan’s Kyurokujima island, Tokyo said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Japanese media reports the missile was in the air for 50 minutes – indicating a very high altitude flight path.<\/span><\/p>\n

It travelled east for around 620 miles and to an altitude of 2,500 miles before crashing into the Sea of Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n

US leader Donald Trump was briefed on the missile while it was still in the air.<\/span><\/p>\n

He spoke by phone with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Moon Jae-In, with all three leaders reaffirming their commitment to combat the North Korean threat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Trump said: \u201cIt is a situation we will handle.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea has often condemned US and South Korea\u2019s military drills as a war rehearsal for an invasion but both Seoul and Washington have declared the exercises are defensive in nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

Donald Trump tweeted: \u201cAfter North Korea missile launch, it’s more important than ever to fund our gov’t & military!\u201d following the ICBM launch.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Koreans state media KCNA said: “The test-fire of intercontinental ballistic rocket Hwasong-15, newly developed under the political resolution and strategic decision of the Workers’ Party of Korea, was successfully carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The ICBM Hwasong-15 type weaponry system is an intercontinental ballistic rocket tipped with super-large heavy warhead which is capable of striking the whole mainland of the US.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis system has much greater advantages in its tactical and technological specifications and technical characteristics than Hwasong-14 whose test-fire was conducted in July last.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the CIA is recruiting agents who can speak Korean amid fears that World War 3 will break out as tensions between the US and North Korea escalate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Posting on Twitter, the CIA wrote: “Speak Korean? US citizen with a college degree? Interest in national security? Your skills are needed here.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The advertised position appears to be for the Directorate of Operations Language Officer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applicants for the role are required to have “advanced foreign language skills combined with cultural experience and expertise to producing high-quality, accurate, and timely translations, interpretations, and other language-related support to DO (Directorate of Operations) clandestine operations\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The CIA did not provide an explanation for why it is recruiting Korean-speaking agents.<\/span><\/p>\n
