Pam said, \u2018I\u2019d like to meet the vice president,\u2019\u201d an unnamed witness told The Post. \u201cThe agent did get it together enough to politely refuse, saying the vice president was busy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Ms. Anderson later told The Post that she admired Mr. Pence for his record on preserving a free press, specifically his past support as a congressman and the governor of Indiana for a federal media shield law to protect anonymous sources.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">\u201cI wanted to thank [Mr. Pence] for supporting protection of sources for journalists,\u201d Ms. Anderson said. \u201cHe is heralded for co-sponsoring proposals for a \u2018federal shield law,\u2019 which I deeply admire.
