New York smashes 103 year World War 1 record with state set to PLUNGE to -18<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

CENTRAL Park in New York City has seen its coldest weather at this time of year since the First World War.<\/span><\/p>\n

The temperature in the area has dropped to -3C.<\/span><\/p>\n

The previous record was just below -3C and was set in 1914.<\/span><\/p>\n

News of the broken Great War-era record has come on Remembrance Day amid fresh fears over the potential arrival of World War 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

The near -6C forecast by morning in New York City would be the coldest temperature in 144 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rest of New York State will reach close to -18C, it has been reported.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meterologist Ryan Maue has said: \u201cIf that doesn’t shock you, then you have ice in your veins or you’re drunk.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The US Congress has set up a committee to review the powers of Donald Trump amid fears that he could prematurely cause a nuclear war between the US and North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The committee will be headed up by the Republican Bob Corker who has been a fierce critic of Mr Trump despite both belonging to the same political party.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a statement, Mr Corker said: \u201cA number of members both on and off our committee have raised questions about the authorities of the legislative and executive branches with respect to war making, the use of nuclear weapons and conducting foreign policy overall.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Last month the senior political said he feared the President\u2019s rhetoric was putting the US \u201con the path to World War 3\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tensions between America and North Korea have been running high since the former businessman became US President.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the summer the corrupt North Korea regime launched a number of missile strikes and has bragged that it has a nuclear weapon that could reach the American territory of Guam.<\/span><\/p>\n

The country\u2019s leader Kim Jong-un has continued to test his nuclear capabilities despite being banned from doing so by the United Nations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Trump has warned he would respond to the rogue nation\u2019s warmongering with a sign of America\u2019s military strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said at the start of last month that attempts of diplomacy with Kim Jong-un were a \u201cwaste of time\u201d and that he would \u201ctotally destroy\u201d the country.<\/span><\/p>\n
