14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">The US President was meeting with his counterpart XI Jinping and said it was important that the two countries worked together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">He said: \u201cI\u2019m calling on Russia to help rein in this potentially very tragic situation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">However, he admitted that \u201ctime is quickly running out\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">The US and Russia have tended to take opposing sides on the North Korea crisis, with the Russian President warning his US counterpart earlier this year, to not take military action against Kim Jong-un\u2019s corrupt regime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">In his speech at a business event in Beijing, Mr Trump also said that China could fix the current problem on the peninsula.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">He said: \u201cThe US is committed to the complete and permanent de-nuclearisation of North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">\u201cChina can fix this problem easily and quickly and I am calling on China and your great president to hopefully work on it very hard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">\u201cIf he works on it hard, it will happen, there&#8217;s no doubt about it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">China has previously rejected calls from the US to take a more active role in the de-nuclearisation of its neighbouring state and did not respond to Mr Trump\u2019s latest comments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Earlier this week Mr Trump made a speech to the South Korean National Assembly in which he said that it was necessary for the countries of the world to show strength against the rogue regime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">In his speech, he said it was necessary for \u201call responsible nations to isolate North Korea.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">China currently props up Pyongyang\u2019s economy, accounting for 90 per cent of all trade with the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Mr Trump was visiting South Korea and China as part of a wider tour of Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Later this week Mr Trump will be in Vietnam for a Pacific nations\u2019 summit where he is expected to have a one-on-one meeting with the Mr Putin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">North Korea\u2019s nuclear programme is one of the issues the two leaders are due to discuss.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:
