World War 3: FEARS as North Korea STEALS blueprints from company that built UK ships<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

North Korea hackers may have stolen South Korean warship bluepris leading to concerns Kim Jong-un is using them to create shipbuilding technology and weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hackers allegedly broke into one of the world\u2019s biggest shipbuilders last year and took the top secret information relating to submarines and destroyers, which could now be in Kim Jong-un\u2019s hands.<\/span><\/p>\n

The North Korea hackers are believed to have accessed 40,000 documents at all and taken 60 classified military documents taken from Daewoo Shipbuilding amid fears of World War 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to CNBC, a South Korean opposition leader said he was \u201calmost 100 per cent certain\u201d that North Korean hackers stole the documents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kyung Dae-soo, of the main opposition Liberty Korea Party, told Reuters: “We are almost 100 per cent certain that North Korean hackers were behind the hacking and stole the company’s sensitive documents.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He added the hacking was discovered by a division under South Korea’s Ministry of Defence in charge of investigating cases of cybercrime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kyung said the investigative team came to the conclusion North Korea had hacked Daewoo Shipbuilding because the hacking method was very similar to other attacks that it was considered North Korea was behind.<\/span><\/p>\n

Daewoo Shipbuilding has built several South Korean warships, including an Aegis-class vessel and submarines, which Kim Jong-un could now have the blueprints for.<\/span><\/p>\n

A spokeswoman for Daewoo Shipbuilding said she was unaware of the issue until Tuesday and the company was now in the process of confirming the details of Kyung’s comments.<\/span><\/p>\n

Daewoo Shipbuilding has been working on four fast fleet tankers that are entering service with the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea has often been accused of cyber attacks in South Korea and other parts of the world but Pyongyang has either ignored or denied them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week Westminster said it believed \u201cquite strongly\u201d Pyongyang was responsible for the \u2018WannaCry’ ransomware attack on the NHS.<\/span><\/p>\n

The attack in May hit countries across the globe, including in the UK where NHS computers were frozen and some services were forced to operate as emergency-only.<\/span><\/p>\n

In response, North Korea said Britain was \u201cdespicable\u201d in its attempts to \u201cdamage\u201d Kim Jong-un\u2019s reputation by associating it with the cyber-attack.<\/span><\/p>\n
