Intel in 2015 acquired a firm that would let it replace more of Qualcomm\u2019s chips in iPhones, Rasgon said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">Rasgon said it\u2019s too early to say definitively whether Apple fully intends to drop Qualcomm next year because Apple can likely make multiple contingency plans for different supplier scenarios.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">\u201cApple is big enough that they want to support multiple paths, they can do that,\u201d Rasgon said. \u201cSamsung (Electronics Co (005930.KS)) did this too.
