Sony Paris Games Week Event: PS5, VR Games Likely to Launch<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Sony Paris Games Week Event: PS5, VR Games Likely to Launch:- Sony is set to hold one of the biggest PlayStation events of the year at the Paris Games Week, which begins at 12:00 a.m. EDT on Oct. 31.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company announced that it would launch 21 game updates one hour before the event. These would include seven \u201call-new\u201d game announcements about games for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. \u201cPlan to tune in early at 8:00am! We\u2019ll begin with an introductory livestream featuring 21 game updates, including seven all-new game announcements for PS4 and PS VR. You won\u2019t want to miss it. Then at 9:00 a.m, our Media Showcase will give you an exclusive new look at the next wave of huge PlayStation titles,\u201d a blog post at the company’s website read.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sony had indicated in June that it had not announced all of its 2017 games at the E3 event held between June 13-15. Shuhei Yoshida, president of the company\u2019s worldwide studios, said at the time, \u201cThere are things we have held [back]. We chose not to show those at E3 2017, but there will be some more news coming out from our teams later this year. No question.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Forbes, the company could also offer games such as \u201cLast of Us: Part Two” at the Paris Games Week, which were expected to be launched at E3 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, it is likely that since the company has announced new VR games in the run up to Christmas, it may offer Christmas deals which could include the PSVR and games bundles with games such as \u201cReal Driving Simulator\u201d and \u201cGT Sport.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

However, chances are the company may also offer consumers first insight into the PS4\u2019s successor, the PS5. The company indicated earlier this year that the device was in the works.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to an analyst with investment company Wedbush Securities, Michael Pachter, PS5 may be launched in early 2019 and may be capable of native 4K gaming. Sony may not come out with the device in 2018 because the company is still waiting for the market penetration of 4K TVs in the United States to cross 50 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sony\u2019s biggest rival in the gaming console space, Microsoft, came out with Xbox One X, the successor to Xbox One, which is way more powerful than the PlayStation 4.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Daily Sun, Sony may offer users an insight into PS5 to sway them from moving on to the Xbox One X in the meantime. PS5 is expected to be capable of better playback even than the Xbox One X. While the Xbox One X is expected to run 4K games at 60 frames per second, PS5 is expected to run 4k games at 240 frames per second.<\/span><\/p>\n
