She was pronounced dead at the scene. The acquaintance was taken into custody and charges are pending, police said. According to unconfirmed scanner reports, the girl\u2019s friend did not know the gun was loaded and accidentally shot her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">The Cook County medical examiner\u2019s office did not immediately release information on the fatality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">A 21-year-old woman was also killed in an accidental shooting Saturday night when a gun was accidentally fired inside a Portage Park home on the Northwest Side, police said. Nadia Manjarrez and a 37-year-old man were inside a home about 10 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Hutchinson when the gun fired, police and the medical examiner\u2019s office said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Manjarrez, who lived in the neighborhood, was shot in the head and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she died at 10:50 p.m., authorities said. An autopsy Sunday did not rule on her cause and manner of death pending further investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Area North detectives recovered the gun and were investigating the shooting, police said. The man was detained for questioning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">At least 19 other people were wounded \u2014 including a 3-year-old boy shot early Sunday while traveling in the back seat of a car in Washington Park \u2014 in separate Chicago shootings since 4:30 p.m. Friday.
