Joe Duggar\u2019s wedding to Kendra Caldwell brought the waterworks during the Oct. 23 episode of \u2018Counting On!\u2019 The groom even surprised himself by bursting into tears when he saw his bride. But their 1st kiss? \u2018Epic!\u2019<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Joe Duggar, 22, and Kendra Caldwell, 19, tied the knot in September. And during the Oct. 23 episode of Counting On, fans finally got to see how everything went down on their big day! Both the bride and groom expressed how \u201cexcited\u201d they were to be husband and wife by the end of the day, but the two were also nervous for the ceremony \u2014 including their very first kiss! \u201cI can\u2019t believe it\u2019s my wedding day!\u201d Kendra gushed to cameras before her walk down the aisle. \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to our first kiss the most but I\u2019m also nervous \u2014 [Joe and I] have talked a little bit about it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kendra also revealed that she had a little bit of \u201cstage fright,\u201d but she was confident that with Joe by her side, it \u201cshouldn\u2019t be too bad.\u201d Unlike most Duggar weddings, Joe and Kendra\u2019s was on schedule. Better yet, everything went super smoothly \u2014 aside from certain flowers not arriving in time, but that was quickly fixed. \u201cThis is starting to become more real,\u201d Kendra said as she got her hair done before changing into her sparkly gown. \u201cKendra\u2019s really relaxed and cheerful,\u201d Joe\u2019s older sister, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, 23, said of the bride. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to see them get married!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But while everyone was looking forward to the nuptials, no one was more thrilled than the happy couple themselves. \u201cToday is kinda hectic because it\u2019s a big day,\u201d Joe told cameras. \u201cI\u2019ve been waiting for it all my life. Something you\u2019ve dreamed about your whole life when it gets here, it doesn\u2019t seem possible.\u201d Adding to the happy feeling in the air, Joe\u2019s dad, Jim Bob Duggar, 52, shared that it\u2019s \u201cnot a bitter-sweet day.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s really just sweet,\u201d he said. Aw!<\/span><\/p>\n

Right before the ceremony started, Joe seemingly jinxed himself when he shared he\u2019s usually not the type to get emotional. \u201cI\u2019m not too nervous \u2014 I\u2019m excited. There\u2019s nothing to be nervous about,\u201d he explained. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to see her walking down the aisle. I think that\u2019ll be a really special moment! \u2026I\u2019m not really an emotional guy \u2014 I\u2019m not sure if I\u2019ll cry.\u201d Well, spoiler alert \u2014 Joe DEFINITELY cried. Honestly, though, it was pretty adorable!<\/span><\/p>\n

Kendra teared up herself when talking to her dad before he gave her away. Of course, she couldn\u2019t cry TOO much because then she\u2019d ruin her makeup! As soon as Kendra began her walk up to the alter though, Joe got very emotional, and the two couldn\u2019t stop smiling until their big kiss at the end. \u201cIt was the best kiss ever,\u201d Kendra said as soon as it happened. Later, she told the cameras it was \u201cepic\u201d and \u201camazing.\u201d Joe said, \u201cIt\u2019s an amazing feeling to be married. I didn\u2019t realize how emotional I would get\u2026Our first kiss was even greater than I expected!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
