Trump deploys NUCLEAR SUBMARINE in huge military drill amid North Korea feud<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

THE USA has deployed a nuclear submarine as part of a series of military drills which risk provoking rage from Kim Jong-un\u2019s North Korean regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

The US will send out the USS Ronald Regan aircraft carrier and two Arleigh Burke-class destroyers to carry out the show of strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

They are set to join South Korean warships and aircraft along with a US special forces team aboard one of the nation\u2019s nuclear-powered submarine.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the past Kim Jong-un has reacted with his own military displays to US drills, launching four ballistic missiles into the ocean in March following accusations President Trump\u2019s troops were preparing to invade.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the US has responded to risk by deploying a Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) plane, which will scope out the movements of Kim Jong-Un\u2019s ground and naval forces.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yesterday a US General \u2013 known for his calculated comments \u2013 shocked a television interviewer last night when he revealed that “war is scheduled” with North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

General Barry McCaffrey\u2019s comments come as fears mount that the US and North Korea are headed towards an imminent war.<\/span><\/p>\n

The respected retired general claimed that the US would be at war with the communist regime “by next summer” during a TV interview with NBC last night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kim Jong-un has continued to escalate his threatening rhetoric against the United States and its allies, amid the deepening crisis on the Korean peninsula.<\/span><\/p>\n

The former US Army general dismissed the possibility of bringing North Korea back to the negotiating table, which he blamed on the US President Donald Trump.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: “The problem is we\u2019ve got so many crises going on now, potentially, that he\u2019s overloading the diplomatic effort, as well as the US armed forces\u2019 ability to deal with it.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t want us to take our eye off North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The current language out of the administration, that lack of a diplomatic and serious engagement strategy, in my view, has us sliding toward war by next summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

MSNBC news anchor Brian Williams noted that General McCaffrey does not have a reputation for inflammatory rhetoric, which makes his warning even more chilling.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This war is on schedule under this administration.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Williams said: “I\u2019ve known the general for many years. I know him as a level-headed man not given to hyperbole.”<\/span><\/p>\n
