World War 3 fears: North Korea WILL complete nuclear sword of justice despite sanctions<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

NORTH Korea will complete the \u201cnuclear sword of justice\u201d as the despotic regime is \u201cunfazed by sanctions\u201d, Kim Jong-un\u2019s state mouthpiece declared.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hermit kingdom were responding to Donald Trump\u2019s decision to fly two supersonic bombers over the Korean peninsula and position a nuclear submarine nearby in a show of strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho said: \u201cPyongyang is holding firm to its long-held promise that it will never denuclearise. The nation’s leadership views its nuclear stockpile as a sword of justice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kim, in a speech earlier this month, claimed nuclear weapons were a way of “safeguarding peace” on the Korean Peninsula.<\/span><\/p>\n

State propaganda said: \u201cNorth Korea is demonstrating its might as a world military power equipped with latest strike equipment, including ICBM, H-bomb and ballistic missile from strategic submarines.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis proud reality is the brilliant fruition of the faith and will of the army and people of the DPRK who stand unfazed by any sanctions, pressure and military threats and blackmail by the enemies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday officials confirmed Donald Trump had been briefed by his generals on options to respond to North Korean “aggression”.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a statement, the White House said: “This morning President Donald Trump met with members of his national security team to receive a briefing from Secretary of Defence James Mattis and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The briefing and discussion focused on a range of options to respond to any form of North Korean aggression or, if necessary, to prevent North Korea from threatening the United States and its allies with nuclear weapons.”<\/span><\/p>\n

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, who recently visited North Korea, said: \u201cThere was a menace in the air.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere were these billboards showing the destruction of the US.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere was much more rhetoric about the US as the enemy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI left feeling that there is a real risk of a war that would be just catastrophic and that we may be headed for miscalculations on both sides that make a war not likely, but a significant possibility.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Pyongyang promised to strike the \u201cheart\u201d of the US if American officials were to attack the country\u2019s leader.<\/span><\/p>\n

In September, images were released of gruesome art propaganda depicting Americans murdering Koreans.<\/span><\/p>\n

The mood in the Korean peninsula region remains extremely tense as Kim and Mr Trump continue to exchange threats and insults over Pyongyang\u2019s nuclear and missile development program.<\/span><\/p>\n
