She has a one-year non compete, she noted, which she joked will require her to take a \u201cforced vacation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Walden, the company\u2019s top-ranking female executive, played a big role in Verizon\u2019s acquisition of Yahoo and its merger with AOL to create the Oath unit. The plan for Oath, she said, \u201cis to be a relevant third player in this space\u201d and be a \u201crelevant player\u201d in the advertising market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Walden, who was seen as a potential successor to Chief Executive Lowell McAdam, will move into a strategic adviser role\u200b from Dec. 31, until her departure in February 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Yahoo said last week that all 3 billion of its user accounts were hacked in a 2013 data theft.
