The pro took to social media to apologize for skipping out on Monday night\u2019s show.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">During Guilty Pleasures week on Dancing with the Stars, Maks Chmerkovskiy was nowhere to be found; he was out for the week due to \u201cpersonal issues.\u201d However, he\u2019ll be back next week and he\u2019s \u201cVEEEEERY excited,\u201d he said on Twitter on Oct. 3, just one day after missing his performance. He also posted an Instagram photo of Alan Bersten, who stood in for him, dancing with his partner, Vanessa Lachey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Sources told that while he did plan on coming back, he actually didn\u2019t dance because he and Vanessa weren\u2019t getting along at all, and they were having a \u201cterrible\u201d time together. \u201cThey are oil and water, and he feels that she is not taking it as seriously as she should,\u201d our insider said. While many other outlets reported the tension rising between the pair, Maks completely ignored it all on Wednesday when he took to Twitter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">\u201cAs you are all aware, I had to leave the show last week to take care of some personal issues,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI take full responsibility for my absence and want to apologize to my partner Vanessa. We are both looking forward to dancing for our fans next week!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Vanessa spoke to Us magazine on Tuesday night as well, admitting that she\u2019s much different during rehearsals versus when she\u2019s at home. \u201cI just know that when I\u2019m on set, he\u2019s my coach and I\u2019m the student,\u201d she told the magazine. \u201cSo I listen a lot more and don\u2019t speak up a much\u2026because this is a field I don\u2019t know. He\u2019s trained me and taught me so many amazing, wonderful new things just like any trainer or teacher would.
