Golden Knights drop first home game to Kings :- LAS VEGAS (AP) \u2014 The expansion Vegas Golden Knights dropped their first-ever home game when Brooks Laich scored 12 seconds into overtime to give the Los Angeles Kings a 3-2 exhibition win on Tuesday night.<\/span><\/p>\n

The home debut attracted a crowd of 17,101 to T-Mobile Arena. The year-old arena seats a maximum of 17,500 for hockey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vegas has two home exhibition games remaining before its regular-season opener on Oct. 6 in Dallas. The Golden Knights’ first regular-season home game is scheduled for Oct. 10 against Arizona.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nic Down and Kurtis MacDermid scored for the Kings, and Jack Campbell made 27 saves.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cody Eakin gave Vegas a 1-0 lead at 3:44 of the first, and William Carrier tied it at 2 when he scored 3:50 into the third. Calvin Pickard made 24 stops for the Golden Knights.<\/span><\/p>\n

FLYERS 4, RANGERS 3, OT<\/span><\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA (AP) \u2014 Travis Konecny scored 3:22 into overtime, lifting the Flyers to the victory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Samuel Morin, Scott Laughton and Oskar Lindblom also scored for Philadelphia, and Brian Elliott made 25 saves.<\/span><\/p>\n

New York jumped out to a 2-0 lead on first-period goals for Paul Carey and David Desharnais. Michael Grabner tied it at 3 at 17:39 of the third, and Ondrej Pavelec made 34 saves for the Rangers.<\/span><\/p>\n

New York finished the preseason with a 3-2-1 record. It begins the regular season at home Oct. 5 against the Colorado Avalanche. Philadelphia has two games remaining in the exhibition season.<\/span><\/p>\n

BLUE JACKETS 5, BLUES 2<\/span><\/p>\n

In Columbus, Ohio, Joonas Korpisalo made 19 saves and recorded an assist to help Columbus to the exhibition win.<\/span><\/p>\n

Korpisalo played the entire game for the Blue Jackets, and was credited with the primary assist on Tyler Motte’s goal at 1:47 of the first.<\/span><\/p>\n

Markus Hannikainen, Markus Nutivaara, Pierre-Luc Dubois and Dean Kukan also scored for Columbus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sam Blais and Tage Thompson scored for St. Louis, and Jake Allen made 35 stops.<\/span><\/p>\n

PANTHERS 4, LIGHTNING 2<\/span><\/p>\n

In Sunrise, Florida, Roberto Luongo stopped 38 shots to lead Florida to the victory.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Panthers grabbed the lead for good on a pair of goals for Jonathan Huberdeau in a 5:15 span of the second period. Connor Brickley and Vincent Trocheck added third-period goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan Callahan and Nikita Kucherov scored for Tampa Bay, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 29 saves.<\/span><\/p>\n

STARS 4, WILD 1<\/span><\/p>\n

In Dallas, Tyler Seguin scored two goals to push the Stars to the win.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seguin’s first goal at 9:52 of the second period lifted Dallas to a 2-0 lead. His empty-netter with 2:43 left in regulation sealed the victory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jason Dickinson and Tyler Pitlick also scored for the Stars, and Kari Lehtonen made 32 saves.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jason Zucker scored Minnesota’s lone goal, and Alex Stalock stopped 33 shots.<\/span><\/p>\n
