North Korea threatens rocket strikes on US mainland after Trump insults:- President Trump is a \u201cmentally deranged person full of megalomania\u201d on a \u201csuicide mission\u201d that boosts the chance of a North Korean missile attack on the United States, the hermit kingdom\u2019s foreign minister said Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n

By labeling North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un \u201cRocket Man\u201d during his United Nations speech last week, Trump made \u201cour rocket\u2019s visit to the entire US mainland inevitable all the more,\u201d Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho told the UN General Assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTrump will be held totally responsible\u201d if Americans are hurt, Ri said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, Trump threatened to \u201ctotally destroy\u201d North Korea if it provoked the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself,\u201d the president stated in a General Assembly address Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ri implied that Trump chose his words poorly, charging that it\u2019s Trump who poses \u201cthe gravest threat to international peace and security today.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ri added: \u201cTrump might not be aware what is uttered from his mouth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

North Korea has rattled the world with repeated nuclear-missile testing, escalating tensions by successfully firing a missile over Japan last month and more recently, threatening to test a hydrogen bomb.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday, Ri suggested that North Korea would test-fire an H-bomb in the Pacific in the first open-air nuke test in decades.<\/span><\/p>\n

The country\u2019s arsenal is a \u201cwar deterrent\u201d against the United States, Ri claimed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ri slammed Trump as \u201clacking of basic common knowledge and proper sentiment\u201d and said the American president \u201ctried to insult the supreme dignity of my country by referring it to a rocket.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump has also brought down the United Nations by turning it into a \u201cgangsters\u2019 nest where money is respected and bloodshed is the order of the day,\u201d Ri said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before Ri took the UN podium, US B-1B bombers and F-15C Eagle fighter escorts flew in international airspace east of North Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The B-1Bs came from Guam, and the F-15Cs flew from Okinawa, Japan. The operation was meant to reflect the seriousness with which the US takes the North\u2019s \u201creckless behavior,\u201d the Pentagon said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The military planes\u2019 flight was a \u201cdemonstration of US resolve and a clear message that the president has many military options to defeat any threat.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

It was the furthest north of the Demilitarized Zone any US aircraft have flown.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNorth Korea\u2019s weapons program is a grave threat to the Asia-Pacific region and the entire international community,\u201d the Pentagon statement said. \u201cWe are prepared to use the full range of military capabilities to defend the US homeland and our allies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
